Asbury Theological Seminary is a theological college in multidenominationale Wesleyan tradition in Wilmore (Kentucky) and Orlando ( Florida).

History

Asbury Theological Seminary was founded in 1923 in Wilmore by its first president, Henry Clay Morrison,. Morrison was at that time also president of Asbury College. 1940 Asbury Seminary separated from the College in order to meet accreditation requirements better. Because of the proximity of the two schools (which are on opposite sides of the same street ), as well as the similar name and the common theological tradition, many confuse the two institutions. They are independent bodies.
