ASC Le Geldar
The Association Sportive et Culturelle Le Geldar (short: Le Geldar ASC ) is a football club from the French overseas department of Guyane. The club founded in 1957, plays its home games from Kourou at the Stade du Bois Chaudat. In addition, the ASC founding member and with nine titles record champion Championnat de Guyane de football, the highest French- Guyanese game class, and multiple winner of several national and international cup competitions.
History
Under the leadership of Gerard Holder, who came to Guyana from French club Red Star Paris, the ASC Le Geldar was established in 1957. The addition of Le Geldar was formed as an acronym of the initials of the club founder. First president of the association was Eustase Rimane. Five years later, on 22 October 1962 joined to the Ligue de Football de la Guyane, which also recently formed Football Association, and one month later, the Fédération Française de Football in.
1985 the club scored the first win the national championship, the particular followed by other national and international success in the 21st century.
