Aschelminth
The tube worms ( Nemathelminthes or Aschelminthes ), also referred to as a round or hollow worms, are a group of Urmündern ( Protostomia ), which had previously been considered due to some similarities in physique as a taxon. All tube worms have a highly developed foregut, which forms a muscular and equipped with cuticular reinforcements pharynx. Since the body cavity is not lined by an epithelium, it is usually as the primary body cavity ( blastocoel ) interpreted. In addition, common ( Eutelie ) multiple cell syncytia and Constance come before.
System
The exact scope of the tube worms was always controversial, the following taxa were usually assigned to them:
- The scratch worms ( Acanthocephala )
- The Bauchhärlinge ( Gastrotricha )
- The Hakenrüssler ( Kinorhyncha )
- The corset animals ( Loricifera )
- Nematodes ( Nematoda )
- The strings worms ( Nematomorpha )
- The Priapswürmer ( Priapulida )
- Rotifers ( Rotifera )
With the exception of Bauchhärlinge, scratch worms and rotifers, which today one of the flatworm -like ( Platyzoa ) are provided, they form the subgroup Cycloneuralia the molting animals ( Ecdysozoa ) in modern systematics.
