Asclepi (crater)

40.56

Asclepi is an impact crater in the rugged southern highlands on the Earth's moon. The outer edge is eroded by numerous subsequent impact events and worn almost to the level of the surrounding terrain. As a result, the crater appears only as a trough in the surface. The crater interior is nearly flat and featureless.

In the vicinity of Asclepi are the crater Hommel in the east, Pitiscus in the north-northeast, and Baco in the northwest. The smaller crater Tannerus located in west- southwesterly direction.
