Asgar Abdullayev

Əsgər Abdullayev (Russian Аскер Абдуллаев / Asker Abdullayev, born March 27, 1960 in Baku ) is a former Azerbaijani footballer and current football coach.

Life and career

Əsgər Abdullayev was born in 1960 in Baku, the football games began the defender in the big club Neftchi Baku PFK, then a Soviet first division. From 1979 he was in the squad whose first team. Abdullayev has spent his entire career at Neftçi, even when the club in 1988 descent into Perwaja league. When the Soviet Union broke up permanently in 1991, he played with Neftchi now in the newly formed Azerbaijani first division of Azerbaijan. In 1994, he finally ended his playing career and moved to the coach office. Abdullayev had until then been in 368 league games for Neftchi in the square, which today represents an internal association record. 319 games of which he completed in the Soviet League, the remaining 49 in the Azerbaijani league.

As a coach, he was responsible for initially from 1998 to 2001 FK Baku Şəfa. He then coached the Azerbaijani U- 21 team before he took over the Azerbaijani national team for several years. This was followed by stations at FK Baku (2005-2005) and at Olimpik - Şüvəlan Baku ( 2006-2009). Last Abdullayev was in 2011 when PFK Turan Tovuz active.
