Ashcott

Ashcott a village in south- west England in the county of Somerset is situated south-west of Glastonbury.

His name has Ashcott of the woods that have the Polden hills, in which the village lies, probably covered earlier. Ashcott has a preserved 18th century pub and a church from the 15th century. Joseph Trutch, British engineer and politician in British Columbia, was born in 1826 in Ashcott.
