Ashley Kahn

Ashley Kahn ( b. 1960 ) works as a freelance writer, producer, tour manager and publicist. His work as a music editor for VH1, the anthology " Rolling Stone: The Seventies " ( Little, Brown ) and as the main source of information on " The Rolling Stone Jazz and Blues Album Guide" ( Random House ) are widely read publications.

His articles have appeared in a variety of newspapers and magazines, including The New York Times, TV Guide, Jazz Times, MOJO ( UK), The Guardian ( UK), Jazz ( France), GQ (Japan). In addition, he has worked in radio and television as well as a tour manager for Paul Simon, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Cassandra Wilson, Debbie Harry and the Jazz Passengers and Britney Spears. He lives in New Jersey / USA.

His best-known books include " Kind of Blue - emergence of a masterpiece " and "A Love Supreme - Coltrane's legendary album " that provide both deep and detailed insights into the evolutionary history of these two important jazz albums.
