Ashur-dan II
Ashur -dan II ( Aschschur - dan, Assur- dan ) was from about 935 BC to 912 BC King of the Assyrian Empire. His name means: ( The God ) Ashur is (my ) judges.
He was the successor and son of Tiglath- pileser II and was the position of power of Assyria in northern Mesopotamia claim against the Syrians and Babylonians, while adding some conquests. Ashur -dan won victories against the Syrians. A campaign against Katmuhi is occupied.
He was succeeded by Adad - nirari II
