Asia Times Online is an online publication that is distributed in English and Chinese news and commentary. The reports examine geopolitical, political, economic and business issues from an Asian perspective.

Asia Times Online was founded in early 1999 and registered in Hong Kong. The service is funded by advertising and resale of original content to other publications and news services.

Historically, the successor to Asia Times Online Asia Times, a formerly published in Hong Kong and Bangkok newspaper, which was founded in 1995, but had to be discontinued due to the Asian crisis of 1997.
