Asian Handball Federation

The Asian Handball Federation (AHF ) is a continental umbrella organization for national handball associations in Asia. Its membership includes 36 member associations. The AHF has its headquarters in Kuwait. She is a member of the International Handball Federation.

Executive Director of the AHF is Ahmed Abu Al Lail.

History

Sheikh Fahad Al- Ahmed Al- Jaber Al -Sabah, who led the Kuwaiti delegation at the 7th Asian Games in Teheran in 1974, called for the recognition of handball by the Executive Committee of the Asian Games and the establishment of a Handball Federation. On August 26, 1974 handball was recognized as the 19th sport. The formation of the Handball Federation was decided; President Sheikh Fahad Al- Ahmed Al- Jaber Al -Sabah and Generelsekretär Syad Abul Hassan was elected.

The Association had the time of its founding 14 members. The Association is based in Kuwait.
