Asian Table Tennis Championships
The Asian Table Tennis Championships are the championships of the Asian continent, comparable to the Table Tennis European Championships. They are held every two years.
History
The Asian Championships were first held in 1952. Event was organized by the Asian Table Tennis Federation TTFA ( Table Tennis Federation of Asia ). The championships were held at that time at irregular intervals instead, namely 1952, 1953, 1954, 1957, 1960, 1964, 1967 and 1970. Thereafter, the Asian Table Tennis Union took over ATTU ( Asian Table Tennis Union ) implementation. With the exception of the year 2002, since then the two-year cycle was adhered.
2011, the discharge was postponed indefinitely because was assessed in Beirut, the intended venue, the political situation as to tense.
