Asiana Airlines (Korean: 아시아나 항공 ) is a South Korean airline based in Seoul and based on the local Incheon airport as well as a member of the airline alliance Star Alliance.

History

Asiana Airlines was founded in 1988 by the Kumho Asiana Group. Incidents

  • On 26 July 1993, the Boeing 737-500 flight flew 733 on landing approach to Mokpo in the rain and poor visibility too low and collided with a mountain.
