ASIC programming language

ASIC is a BASIC dialect for MS -DOS. It was written in 1990 by Dave Visti and distributed as shareware.

ASIC controls only a small part of the BASIC programming language. Above all, the parser is very rudimentary, that is, there are no translated composite names. Functions are also not supported. " ASIC: It's almost BASIC" This is at the headline declared ( German: ASIC: It's almost BASIC). ASIC creates very compact COM and EXE files; could be considered as a kind of " assembler variables " it so. ASIC also has a simple integrated development environment. With the latest version, 5.00, something compatible with GW -BASIC came about in the form of a program for translation of GW -BASIC by ASIC. In the 1990s, this BASIC dialect became somewhat dissemination via Internet forums.
