Asistencia Asesoría y Administración

Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA) is a Mexican wrestling league, which was founded by Antonio Peña. Alluding to their owners the League is also often referred to as Promociones Antonio Peña (PAP ) called.

History

AAA was founded in May 1992, after Antonio Peña from his role as a booker of the dominant emll (now CMLL ) withdrew. Peña took over many of the more talented wrestlers in the emll and could the young doctoral thus establish very quickly, while the biggest competitor was decisively weakened at the same time. In addition, he pledged unknown men like Rey Mysterio and Psicosis, which should prove to be a lucky handles. Another competing league called UWA was pushed by the popularity of AAA quickly out of business, resulting Peña was possible to take their top stars Canek, Dos Caras, and the Villanos under contract.

The rapid rise of the League culminated in a collaboration with the second largest at this time North American promotion World Championship Wrestling ( WCW ). So it was 1994 Pay Per View When Worlds Collide, which was aired with the help of WCW in the U.S. and many American viewers for the first time confronted with the technically challenging high flying wrestling of Lucha Libre.

Only a short time after this milestone, however, began the descent of the AAA. Art Barr, which was the most important Heel tag team La Pareja del Terror together with the young Eddie Guerrero, died in November 1994, after which also Guerrero, and Madonna 's Boyfriend ( the third member of the dominant Stables Los Gringos Locos ) left the promotion. Due to the weak Mexican economy and the weaker associated payment, but also because of problems with the booking El Hijo del Santo stars such as Fuerza Guerrera and were dissatisfied and adopted as well. The cooperation with the WCW would eventually work to the disadvantage - the high flying style in the U.S. was so popular that WCW undertook important AAA wrestlers like Rey Mysterio, Psicosis, La Parka and Juventud Guerrera. A received in 1997 cooperation with the World Wrestling Federation (now WWE) had only consequence that some Luchadores at the Royal Rumble could occur, however, did not bring the hoped-for boost in popularity.

In contrast to their wedding mid-90s, interest in the AAA to the major market of the United States today is rather low. Annual events such as Triple Mania and Guerra de Titanes can indeed still fill large halls in Mexico, but in direct comparison with the CMLL that draws weekly for 10,000 spectators in the halls and could undertake some stars of the AAA, it took a back seat.

Re presence got the AAA in 2004 through a partnership with TNA Wrestling. For America's X Cup was sent as a representative of Mexico's five Wrestler ( Juventud Guerrera among them, Hector Garza and Mr. Águila ) in the U.S. and was able to win with them the four-nation tournament final. However, when held in the same year the first World Cup they lost X Team USA. Towards the end of the collaboration with TNA ended from unspecified reasons. Significantly, the Mexican team of wrestlers of the CMLL competitors was formed in the second TNA World X Cup.

After Peñas death from a heart attack in 2006, Dorian Roldan took the lead behind the scenes of the league.

2008 then returned back to AAA and Konnan took over as the role of the Commissioners of the league, which would have absolute control over the promotion. Also backstage Konnan has a lot to say. He's not like before the camera sole control of the AAA, but it is suspected that he should be the second strongest man in the league behind Roldan.

By Konnans appearance of the style of the League was quite strong in the entertainment area into that one got the feeling that the Mexicans wanted to copy the WWE.
