History

The historical ASK Riga (1931 to 1991)

From 1931 to existed in Riga a basketball team of the Army Port Association, which was one of the leading teams in the country and in the 1950s even the best teams of the Soviet Union, and hence to the best club teams in Europe. 1955 as well as 1957 and 1958 you won the championship of the Soviet Union and was then washed three times in succession from 1958 to 1960 winning the first three sweeps of the European Cup of Champions. BK Brocēni ( 1991-2001 )

Handball

In 1993, the handball team was founded as an association of the national armed forces. The team won 10 times the Latvian league titles and 5 times the championship of the Baltic League Champion. The ASK also participated in the EHF Cup. Since 2002, the Aizkraukles Bank is the main sponsor of the club.

The Team ASK / AB.LV won several national tournaments and played well at the European level.
