Askar Mamin

Askar Mamin Usakpajewitsch (Russian Аскар Узакпаевич Мамин; * 1965 ) is a Kazakh politician. He's since April 2008, President and Member of the Supervisory Board of the Kazakh state railway company Kazakhstan Temir Scholy.

Mamin studied at the Institute of Civil Engineering and Zelinograd at the Russian Plekhanov University of Economics in Moscow. From 1996 to 2004 he was deputy mayor of the Kazakh capital Astana, and Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications and Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade. Also Minister of Transport and Communications, he was from 2005 and Mayor of Astana since September 21, 2006.

On 4 April 2008 he was the President of Kazakhstan on Regulation as President of Kazakhstan Temir Scholy.
