Geography

Geographical location

Unteraspach is located about seven kilometers west of the county town of Gotha and on the southern slopes of the sallbergs, which forms the watershed between Hörsel and Nesse. On the southern edge of the village of Asse- Bach, who gave the village its name flows. The aces is a right tributary of the Hörsel - Bach.

History

The first mention of the place as learned Asbach in 932 in a document in which he was assigned by King Henry I the pen Hersfeld. Former Mayor

In the mayoral election on June 12, 1994 Ruth Melcher was elected honorary mayor of the community. It was confirmed in the mayoral elections on June 27, 2004, June 13, 1999 and June 6, 2010 in her office. Their term of office began on 1 July 2010. With the conversion to the rural community it was December 1, 2011 for the district mayor ( with a term of office until 2016).

Structures
