Asset Issekeshev

Asset Orentajewitsch Issekeschew (Russian Асет Орентаевич Исекешев; born August 17, 1971 in Karaganda ) is a Kazakh politician and since March 2010, Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He also held the office of Deputy Prime Minister.

Life

Asset Issekeschew was born August 17, 1971 in Karaganda. He graduated in 1994 from the National Al -Farabi University in Almaty. From 1999 to 2000 he worked in the Ministry of Justice of Kazakhstan and from 2002 to 2003 he was a consultant to the Kazakh Ministry of Economy. Since 2003, he was Vice Minister of Industry and Trade before he became Vice Chairman in 2006 State of the Kazyna Sustainable Development Fund.

Between 2007 and 2008 he was Director of Marketing at Credit Suisse in Kazakhstan and was then from February 2008 to May 2009 Advisor to the Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev. In May 2009, he eventually became Minister of Industry and Trade.

After the dissolution of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in March 2010, he was Minister of the new Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan, as well as Deputy Prime Minister.
