Assumpta Serna

Assumpta Serna ( born September 16, 1957 in Barcelona, actually Assumpta Serna Rodés i ) is a Spanish actress and author.

Life

Serna in Barcelona broke a law degree and devoted himself to acting.

Serna was married from 1982 to 1985 with the actor Carlos Tristancho. In 1993 she married her fellow actors Scott Cleverdon, with whom she 2005 the company "first team" founded that offers acting classes in several countries. She was the representative of Spain in the European Film Academy and organized in Barcelona the European Film Awards 2004. She is a member of the nonprofit organization AISGE ( Artistas, Intérpretes, Sociedad de Gestión ), which deals with the protection of intellectual property rights in the audiovisual sector.

Works

Assumpta is the author of two books on acting techniques of interpretation " El trabajo del actor de cine " and " Monologues in VO ".

Honors

  • For her starring role in The Fencing Master ( El Maestro de Esgrima ) Serna was nominated in 1993 as Best Actress for the Goya.
  • In 2003 she was member of the jury at the International Film Festival in Venice.
