The Astana International Airport ( Kazakh: Халықаралық Астана Әуежайы, Russian: Международный Аэропорт Астана ) ( IATA: TSE, ICAO: UACC ) is an international airport serving the Kazakh capital Astana.

With 2.303 million passengers in 2012 it is the second largest airport in Kazakhstan, after the airport the former capital Almaty. He has a national and an international terminal.

History

The history of the airport dates back to 1931 when the first airfield in the city was opened. In 2005, the building of the airport have been replaced by a new building, so that they meet the international standards of an airport needs.
