Astellas Seiyaku K. K. (Japaneseアステラス 製薬 株式会社, Seiyaku Kabushiki - Asuterasu gaisha, Eng. Astellas Pharma, Inc. ), listed on the Nikkei 225, after Takeda Pharmaceutical with about 7 billion dollars in sales annually, the second largest Japanese pharmaceutical companies.

It was founded on 1 April 2005 by the merger of Yamanouchi Seiyaku and Fujisawa YAKUHIN Kōgyō.

• Fujisawa GmbH Germany and
• Fujisawa Europe GmbH

Active.

On August 19, 2005, these companies were transferred to the subsidiary Astellas Pharma GmbH.

Astellas has their priorities in development, manufacture and distribution of medicinal products in the areas of urology, transplantation medicine and dermatology.
