Common Starfish (Asterias rubens )
The Asteriidae family contains most occurring on European coasts, sea stars ( Asteroidea ), such as the Commons starfish (Asterias rubens ). Most species are in line with its five arms and the starfish standard.
Pycnopodia helianthoides (sunflower starfish ) from the North American Pacific coast is the largest species, with a maximum diameter of 90 centimeters. It resembles with its many arms the sun stars ( Solasteridae ).
