The hybrid Astilbe, Astilbe hybrid or Garden Astilbe ( Astilbe x arendsii ) is a hybrid bred group of the genus Astilbe ( Astilbe ). Involved in the breeding were particularly astilboides Astilbe, Astilbe japonica and Astilbe thunbergii Astilbe chinensis as mother plants and davidii var as a father plant. There are numerous varieties. These are identified by their heydays in the three groups heyday Early Flowering group (July), Average flowering time group (July to August) and Late Flowering group divided (August to September). The varieties can for example be differ in plant height, leaf color and flower color from each other. The flowers can be white, light pink, dark pink, purple pink, salmon red, be red and dark red.
