The chickpea Astragalus ( Astragalus cicer ) is a species of the genus Astragalus ( Astragalus ) in the subfamily of the Fabaceae ( Faboideae ) within the legume family ( Fabaceae ).

Description

The flowering period is in the months of May and August. The chickpea Astragalus has about 1.5 centimeters long zygomorphe flowers that sit in reichblütigen and long-stalked inflorescences. Botanically speaking, it is typical butterfly-shaped flowers with a folding mechanism. Anthers and stigma mature at the same time in this species. Is pollinated, the pleasantly scented flowering primarily by bumblebees.
