Asunder

Asunder is a free CD ripper for reading audio CDs ( " ribs" or specific DAE) for Unix-like operating systems. For displaying GTK is used.

History

Asunder was first published in January 2005. Thereafter, the development was temporarily halted until it was resumed in the summer of 2007. Asunder is released under the GNU General Public License.

Functions

  • Asunder can play audio files in WAV, MP3, Ogg Vorbis, FLAC, WavPack, Musepack, AAC, and Monkey's Audio format store.
  • CD title information can be read out via CDDB
  • It can M3U playlists can be created.
  • It can be exported to multiple formats simultaneously.
  • Simultaneous ripping and encoding.
