Ata-Zhurt

Ata - Schurt ( Kyrgyz Атажурт; Russian Ата - Журт, on German Fatherland) is a national conservative political party in Kyrgyzstan. It is referenced at present ( October 2010) of Kamtschibek Taschijew.

It was on 9 December 2004, established before the Tulip Revolution, by Rosa Otunbayeva and is associated with the former Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiyev.

On October 6, 2010, four days before the parliamentary elections in Kyrgyzstan in 2010, the headquarters of the party of protesters was busy, demanding the expulsion of the elections. They also demanded punishment of party members to be responsible for the fatal shooting of demonstrators in April 2010 with the takeover of the transitional government.

The party was by counting of 84 percent of the vote just ahead of the Social Democratic Party of Kyrgyzstan in the lead.
