Atabae

District

Atabae is a place in Suco Rairobo ( subdistrict Atabae, district Bobonaro ). The place is also known by the Suco as Rairobo.

The village lies at an altitude of 489 m. To state capital Dili there are in a straight line about 55 km ( 85 km by road) to the northeast, the district capital Maliana about 17 kilometers to the south. An overland route connects with Atabae Aidabaleten, the capital of the subdistrict that about 5 kilometers away is the Savu Sea.

The village has a primary school, the Escola Primaria Rairobo, and a medical station. Close to the place a reforestation project is carried out. The Monte Atabae ( Goenoeng Atabai ) is 4.1 kilometers from Atabae.
