Atabey is a district and a county seat in the Turkish province of Isparta. The county was formed in 1926. The former name was Agros. This name is of Greek origin meaning "fields". The first known written mention was made in the year 869
Settlements
In addition to the county town, there are in the district of the municipality İslamköy and the four villages Bayat, Harmanören, Kapıcak and Penbeli.
