AtaÅŸehir Belediyespor

Belediye Spor Kulübü Ataşehir, short Ataşehir Belediyespor, is a Turkish football club from the district of Istanbul Ataşehir. It was founded in 2007 and primarily known for its women's football department, which since the 2009/10 season in the bayanlar Futbol Ligi, the highest league in Turkish women's football plays.

History

The club was founded in 2007 as a high school team under the name Ümraniye Mevlana Lisesi SK and took after financial difficulties and a change of ownership in 2009, the current name. In the same year the women's team to the championship in the second Turkish league for the first time succeeded in rising into the bayanlar Futbol Ligi.

After a fourth place in the 2009/10 season, the club was able for the seasons 2010/11 and 2011/12 respectively win the Turkish league and thus came in the years 2011 and 2012 in qualifying for the UEFA Women's Champions League on where you look however, failed to qualify for the first main round.

Stadium

Home Venue of Ataşehir Belediyespor is the Yenisahra Stadium in Ataşehir, which has a synthetic pitch and 1,500 spectators seats.

Known players

Since Erstligaaufstieg are or were a variety of Turkish national players under contract, including who was born in Germany Fatma Kara. Among the most famous foreign internationals Ataşehirs include the Nigerian Onome Ebi and Desiré Oparanozie, as well as the US-American Danesha Adams.
