Atatürk Cup

The Turkish Football Federation introduced in honor of Atatürk four times so far a football tournament for the Cup by Atatürk.

• The first tournament was held in 1955. The participants were the five best teams at that time Turkey ( Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray, Beşiktaş, Adalet and Vefa ). Was Adalet winner, Fenerbahçe second.

• The second the Ataturk Cup on September 9, 1963 Fenerbahçe won with two 3-1 victories against Beşiktaş and Galatasaray.

• 35 years later, on 10 November 1998, the 60th anniversary of the death of Atatürk, the tournament was performed a third time. The final decided against Fenerbahçe Beşiktaş 2-0 for itself.

• The last tournament on 1 November 2000 won in the final against Galatasaray Besiktas 2-1.
