Athens Charter (preservation)

The Athens Charter of 1931 deals with the basic principles of the restoration and exhibition of architectural monuments. It is the precursor to the 1964 adopted the Charter of Venice.

The Charter consists of a general introduction and seven resolutions. The latter are concerned with the creation of relevant international organizations and factual evaluation procedures and the creation of appropriate tall legal requirements in each country. Make the claim to, archaeological sites, which are not restored, again with a protective layer of soil to cover, explain modern materials in restoration admissible and require strict supervision and attractive landscaping.
