Atid (political party)

Atid (Hebrew עתיד, lit. Tomorrow ) was a 2-person faction of the 13th Knesset in Israel. It was formed November 27, 1995 as a spin-off of Ji'ud and consisted of the following Members: Alex Goldfarb and Esther Salmovitz. The Ji'ud in turn was an offshoot of the Tzomet that was created when Gonen Segev fell out with faction leaders Rafael Eitan and along with Goldfarb and Salmovitz the Ji'ud founded.

At the time of the founding of the Atid Ji'ud was part of the coalition government of Shimon Peres. Goldfarb, who had already been Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing since 2 January 1992 retained his post until June 18, 1996 the end of the legislature. Then Atid broke up.
