Atil (Sonora)

Atil is a village in the Mexican state of Sonora with 609 inhabitants. The village is situated in the north of Sonora in the homonymous municipality Atil, whose headquarters it is. The village living from agriculture. Crops are wheat, corn, cotton, sorghum, and cartamo Frijol.
History
The village was founded in 1751 by the Jesuit missionary Jacobo Sedelmayer.
