Átila Iório

Átila Iorio ( born April 1, 1921 in Rio de Janeiro, † December 10, 2002 ) was a Brazilian actor.

Iorio was one of the most important character actors of the Brazilian film and television, particularly the Cinema Novo. He became internationally known through the role of Miguel in the telenovela The Slave Isaura. Other important films were the British / Portuguese co-production The Emerald Forest (1985 ), the Brazilian film O Misterio de Robin Hood (1990) and especially in 1963 produced by Bayerischer Rundfunk Literaturverfilmung Vidas Secas - After Eden, it is far from a novel by Graciliano Ramos, who is about the lives of a Brazilian family of peasants.
