Atlahua

Atlaua or Atlahua, ( Nahuatl: Lord of the water) was in the Aztec pantheon of the god of water ( atl ). He was considered the protector of fishermen and archers, since his name is also associated with the atlatl spear thrower. The mythological significance Atlauas seems to overlap to a large extent with the Opochtlis and Amimitls (water arrow). The picture is taken from the Rig Veda Americano whose contents turn the Historia general de las cosas de la Nueva España by Bernardino de Sahagun are removed. For details on the specific mythology Atlauas is not known.
