Atom Willard

Adam David Willard ( born August 15, 1973 in San Diego ), also known as "Atom", is an American drummer.

From 2005 to 2011 he was a drummer and a founding member of Angels & Airwaves, a " supergroup " with Tom DeLonge of Blink -182, David Kennedy of Box Car Racer and Matt Wachter from 30 Seconds to Mars. From May 2009 to March 2010, he played in the punk rock band Social Distortion. He followed in the footsteps of Charlie Quintana, who finished his commitment as a drummer for Social Distortion after almost ten years of membership. Willard was also a member of American Hi -Fi, MOTH, Alkaline Trio and Rocket From the Crypt. From 2003 to 2007 he was also the drummer for The Offspring. He replaced Ron Welty. One knows Willard also from the band The Special Goodness. He is also mentioned as the "Drum God" in Weezers Green Album. Since June 8, 2011, he is the drummer of Danko Jones. He also has Against Me! support during their Australian tour in January 2013.

In the early 1990s he played in the underground skate tape Custom Floor with the skaters Garry Davis ( guitar) and Phil Esbenshade ( bass). He also toured with the band Brown Bag Special consisting of Hira Chowdhury (guitar), Mahesh Kotagi, Bilbo Baggins and Adeel Zeb.
