Atomik Harmonik

Atomik harmony is a Slovenian pop band. It combines traditional Slovenian folk music with modern pop elements.

The band was formed in summer 2004 by the musician Jani Pavec that during a vacation on Crete had the idea of a party band. Together with musician Dejan Čelik and the two singers Špela Kleinlercher and Špela Grošelj he took in the fall of 2004 to the song Brizgalna Brizga. The single and the album shortly afterwards published Brizgaaaaj! increased within a short time at No. 1 on the charts Slovenian and held there for several months.

Thanks to this success was the Italian producer team Bliss Corporation, who had previously led bands like Eiffel 65 and Haiducii to international success, attention to Atomik harmony. They took the band's eight new versions of " Brizgalna Brizga " under the title Turbopolka in English on.

The single Turbopolka was in the winter of 2004 /05 to a popular hit on the ski slopes of the Alps. After the commercial release of the single, it reached the charts in Austria, as well as in Germany.

In 2006, Atomik harmony with the title Polkaholik on the Slovenian preliminary decision to Euro Vision Song Contest and reached the third place, as the jury gave her a single point, but the viewers who voted by phone and SMS with 10 points uniquely for them.

Shortly afterwards Špela Kleinlercher left the group. Her successor was Iris Soban, which, however, left the band after two weeks. Today, they have a new member namely Mateja - affectionately known Tejči
