Atomstroyexport

Atomstroiexport (Russian Атомстройэкспорт ) is a Russian state-owned company, which operates in the field of nuclear power plant construction. The company was founded on the establishment of nuclear power plants abroad and to strengthen the export of Russian nuclear technology by the Ministry of Atomic Energy. It is since 2007 the Russian state holding company Atomenergoprom.

Atomstroiexport was created in 1998 through the merger of AO " Atomenergoexport " and VPO " Zarubezhatomenergostroy ". Atomenergoexport realized most due to intergovernmental agreements with the Soviet Union agreed contracts for the construction of Eastern European nuclear power plants. The unfinished orders were continued after the merger of Atomstroiexport.

The company mainly builds nuclear power plants of the reactor VVER and operates mainly in Eastern Europe. Currently, among other projects in Russia, Iran, Kazakhstan, India and China will be realized.

On 14 December 2009 took over Atomstroiexport for 23.5 million euros, the company Nukem Technologies, which is mainly active in the field of nuclear decommissioning.

  • Tianwan nuclear power plant in China ( up to eight reactors WWER-1000/428 AES -91, two already in operation )
  • Bushehr nuclear power plant in Iran ( WWER-1000/446 three reactors, the first already in operation)
  • Nuclear power plant in Belene, Bulgaria ( two WWER-1000/466 reactors, construction set 2012 )
  • Kudankulam nuclear power plant in India ( two reactors WWER-1000/412 AES -92, the first already in operation)
  • Nuclear power plant Novovoronesh II in Russia ( two WWER-1200/392M (AES- 2006) )
  • Nuclear Power Plant Leningrad II in Russia ( two WWER-1200/491 )
  • Paks Nuclear Power Plant in Hungary ( modernization work until 2009)
  • Akkuyu nuclear power plant in Turkey
