Atsalama is a village (Estonian küla ) in the rural community Mäetaguse ( Mäetaguse vald ). It is located in Ida -Viru county (East Wierland ) in northeastern Estonia.

Description and History

The village has 91 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011).

The place was first mentioned in documents in 1241. For the 14th century the estate Atsalama is occupied, but which disappeared later.
