Atsalama

Atsalama is a village (Estonian küla ) in the rural community Mäetaguse ( Mäetaguse vald ). It is located in Ida -Viru county (East Wierland ) in northeastern Estonia.

Description and History

The village has 91 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011).

The place was first mentioned in documents in 1241. For the 14th century the estate Atsalama is occupied, but which disappeared later.

Bekannst is especially the historic tavern of Koltsina, which now belongs to Atsalama. The 19th century is 70 meters in length the second longest pitcher Estonia was.
