ATSE Graz

The Hockey section of the ATSE Graz was founded in 1947. The ATSE is currently the only Styrian ice hockey team, which won the Austrian championship titles (1975 and 1978). In the early 1990s, the club with the UEC Graz was fused to the EC Graz, which reached three runner-up title under President Hannes Kartnig and was later dissolved for financial reasons.

In March 2008, the ATSE Graz was refounded by the renaming of the Styrian Hobby League (NHL Graz) gambling EHC Blue-White Graz. It is planned to play with teams in the league, the national league and the NHL Graz.

The re-establishment of ATSE in 2008

In 2008, there came by a group around the two - time champions Werner " Buffy " Schilcher and Klaus Turin to starting up the Hockey section of the ATSE Graz. This was achieved by renaming the EHC Blue-White Graz and the activation of disused Hockey section. On 4 March 2008, the team entered a playoff game the Graz Hobby League (NHL) in the traditional ATSE jerseys. Since the 2008/ 09 season of ATSE playing with teams in the league, the Styrian Elite League and the Styrian league. Formation

Establishment of the section was made in 1947 as ATUS Eggenberg. The first official match took place on 26 January 1947 instead of against SV Straßgang and was won by 15:4. Internationally

Through the two league titles, the Graz played in each of the following season in the European Cup. In the first participation 1975/76 we failed in the second round on SC Bern. In the 1978/79 season they were in the first round of the Ferencvaros Budapest ( Hungary), defeat in the second round of the HC Bolzano ( Italy) and in the third round of the SC Riessersee ( Germany ).
