Atsinanana

Atsinanana is one of the 22 regions of Madagascar. It belongs to the ( old ) Toamasina province in the east of the island. In 2004, 1.1171 million inhabitants lived in the region.

Geography

The Atsinanana region has an area of ​​21,934 km ². Capital is Toamasina.

The region is divided into seven districts:
