Atsuko Hashimoto

Atsuko Hashimoto (Japanese桥本 有 津 子Atsuko Hashimoto, * in the prefecture of Osaka ) is a Japanese jazz organist.

Life and work

Atsuko Hashimoto began her professional career at age 18 in Osaka as a musician and Hammond Organ demonstrator. With its own organ quartet she guested on the Osaka Jazz Festival and the Naniwa Arts Festival. These appearances led to collaborations with Makoto Ozone and Terumasa Hino. In the early 1990s she was Hausorganistin Club The Don Store in Osaka. In 1999, she debuted in jazz clubs in the United States and joined since then in numerous festivals. In 2001 she toured with Diana Krall in Japan. She put some albums before with jazz standards under its own name, with whom she worked with drummer Jeff Hamilton, with whom she has performed at the Monterey Jazz Festival in 2007.
