Atsuko Tokuda

Atsuko Tokuda (徳 田 敦 子jap, Atsuko Tokuda, born September 15, 1955) is a former badminton player from Japan.

Career

Atsuko Tokuda won her first Japanese champion in women's doubles title in 1977 with Mikiko Takada. A year later she won in singles, and 1979 for the first time with Yoshiko Yonekura in doubles. With her ​​she won to 1987 a total of eight titles.

At the World Championship 1980, she celebrated with bronze in women's doubles, once more with Yoshiko Yonekura, their greatest success in the individual disciplines. The All England pairing was twice in the finals, but lost in two playoffs. With the Japanese Uber Cup team won the World Cup for women's teams in 1978 and 1981.
