Atsuo Asami

Atsuo Asami (Japanese浅见 敦夫, Atsuo Asami; * 1952 ) is a Japanese amateur astronomer and asteroid explorer.

He is a member of the Japan Spaceguard Association ( JSGA ) and runs his own small observatory (IAU code 355 ) in Hadano, Kanagawa Prefecture, about 60 km south-west of Tokyo. This is primarily for observation of comets and asteroids. His work resulted in the period from 1997 to 1999 on the discovery of seven asteroids.
