Atsushi Yanagisawa

Atsushi Yanagisawa (柳 沢 敦Japanese Atsushi Yanagisawa, born May 27, 1977 in Imizu, Toyama Prefecture) is a Japanese football player.

The striker began his career in 1996 at Kashima Antlers. In the 2003 /04 season he played for Sampdoria in Serie A, but could not prevail there, and in 2004 moved to FC Messina, for whom he played until 2006. Since 2006 he plays for Kyoto Sanga F. C. in the J-League in Japan.

In 1997 he was a member of the youth team and made ​​his debut in the senior national team at the 1998 World Cup in France. In 2000 he took over for Japan 's Olympic football tournament, as well as at the World Cup 2002. During the Confederations Cup 2005, he was back in the squad of Japan. Also on the occasion of the Football World Cup 2006, he was back in the squad.
