Attaché

Attaché ( French attacher " fix " ) or Attaché ( female form ) is in diplomacy, a term for a companion Messenger.

" Attaché " is one of the login names of posted employees of diplomatic missions. The next lower rank is that of the " Attaché adjoint ", which corresponds to the lowest diplomatic rank, the next highest is that of the " Troisième Secrétaire ". As attachés also members of the missions are partly designated by specific specialized tasks, such as military attaché or cultural attachés. Here, the title refers to a function; it is not an official designation.

In Germany it is also the official title of an official in preparation for the higher foreign service. After successfully passing the career examination and adoption in the civil service of the attaché was appointed counselor of legation.
