Attachmate is a software company based in Seattle, which is specialized in terminal emulation, systems management, information security and integration of mainframe and legacy software in modern computer networks.
Founded in 1982 in Bellevue (Washington), the company hardware and software produced for networking mainframe with PC - based IT systems. 2004 acquired the Attachmate WRQ terminal emulator specialists in Seattle. The two companies merged in 2005 under the name of Attachmate, and Seattle became headquarters.
