Attendorf is a municipality with 1803 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in Styria, in the district of Graz-Umgebung. From 1 January 2015 it has joined forces framework of the Styrian municipality structural reform with the communities Hitzendorf and Rohrbach- Steinberg, the new community will continue to use the name " Hitzendorf ".

Geography

Geographical Location

Attendorf is located in about 10 km southwest of the provincial capital of Graz on Lusenbach, a tributary of the Kainach.

The municipality comprises the cadastral Attendorf, Mantscha and Schadendorf mountain.

Neighboring communities

History

The local church as an autonomous body created in 1850. After the annexation of Austria in 1938, the community came to Reichsgau Styria, 1945-1955, she was part of the British zone of occupation in Austria.

There are a number of small, economically mineable ore and coal deposits that belong to those of the Graz Paleozoic in the community and their environment. They were examined in detail.

Coat of arms

The award of the municipality coat of arms came into effect on 1 July 1992. Coat Description: In a red shield, a beam of four blue, gold lined and goldfacettierten diamonds, top three golden fruit stalls of the flax with three capsules, down from three fallen golden vine leaves accompanied ".

Traffic

Attendorf located on the road from Lieboch to Hitzendorf. In the vicinity is the Southern Motorway (A2). The nearest connection points are moss Churches ( 200), 8 km away and Unterpremstätten (188 ) 7 km away.

A train station is not in place, but the neighboring communities have access to the Graz- Köflacher train: The train station Söding Moss churches, 5 km to the route Graz- Koeflach and Lieboch station in addition to the route - Lieboch Germany mountain.

Graz Airport is about 15 km away.

The City of Graz can be reached by bus line 711 Watzke, among others.
