Attention Profiling Mark-up Language

In APML (Attention Profiling Mark-up Language ) is an XML -based markup language for the semantic distinction of attention profiles. The format is designed for maximum portability.

Attention profiles are already being created, especially in the context of data mining in large numbers. Thus based about the product recommendations for Internet retailers use Amazon to attention profiles. Even the music recommendations of internet music platform Last.fm are produced by attention profiles.

To make available the benefits of such techniques outside of closed systems such as amazon or last.fm, the APML file format was designed.
