Attigny (Vosges)

Attigny is a commune in the Vosges department of the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district Neufchâteau, for Canton Darney and founded the 1992 Local Government Association Pays de Saône et Madon.

Geography

The 260 inhabitants (1 January 2011 ) scoring Attigny community located about 20 kilometers southeast of Vittel and about 40 kilometers south-west of Epinal in the southwest of Lorraine.

From northeast to southwest, passing through numerous turns the upper Saône the municipal area, the south of the village core absorbs the coming from the east Ourche. About a quarter of the municipal area is covered by forests. The forest Bois d' Attigny is part of a branched, more than 100 km ² of contiguous forest area, which extends into the region of Franche -Comté into it.

To Attigny include the districts of La Grange Jacquot, Le Cras and Le Parpari.

Neighboring communities of Attigny are Darney in the north and northeast, Hennezel in the east, Claudon in the south, Monthureux -sur -Saône in the southwest, Bleurville in the west and Nonville and Belmont- lès -Darney in the northwest.
